About PrintForward, Western Canada’s Print Industry Association
PrintForward is an industry association devoted to promoting and advancing the best interests of the printing industry in Western Canada. It is a recognized voice of the printing industry and provides its members with one of the most dynamic partnership arrangements of any association in North America.
Firms that join PrintForward are offered a wide variety of industry resources including membership in Printing Industries of America, a Premium Membership in Whattheythink.com, and access to resources through association membership in the BC Alliance for Manufacturers.
The printing industry in Canada is one of the most economically important and technologically advanced industrial sectors and through its relationship with other similar associations across Canada offers a solid advocacy program. Canada’s printing industry is the fifth largest manufacturing employer in the nation with more than 55,000 employees, who work in 5,500 establishments.
Members of PrintForward are progressive, innovative firms engaged in the selling of services and products to both domestic and international print buyers. Members range from large corporations to smaller family run businesses. These firms are engaged in the manufacturing of printed products from prepress through bindery.
Suppliers to the industry join as associate members. Other membership categories include consultants, educational institutions, government and other associations.

Our Board of Directors
PrintForward is governed by a Board of Directors, which includes up to thirteen Active Members and two Supplier Members. The Board is responsible for determining the direction and policies for PrintForward. Association management staff provides support to members and facilitates the direction and policies set out by the Board of Directors.
BCPIA also has a number of Standing Committees which report to the Board Directors. Each standing committee is chaired by a member of the Board.
